This past weekend 5 boy scouts of Troop 288 and one Webelos II from Pack288 attended the Allegheny Highlands Council, Two-Lakes District Monster Mash camporee 2017.  The boys most of which are new to Scouting performed well, they took first place in a Bow Trapshooting competition.  Seth took 3rd place for our Troop in a competition similar to FearFactor where they had to eat some unusual and very stinky food.  Their Patrol also took 2nd place in a competition of teamwork where they had to use their communication skills to guide their blindfolded partner through an obstacle course.

The boys also had an opportunity to throw Axes, shoot recurve bows, compound bow trap, and were very close to starting a fire with a magnifying glass.  They got 35 bonus points for their commitment to starting a fire with a magnifying glass.
